Brian Boozer’s life has gone to hell since his father died. His mother’s new lazy husband is much more than merely abusive, and the two are left alone while Brian’s mother works double-shifts everyday to provide for them, making money that her husband spends on booze instead of food.
At school, Brian faces four bullies daily that make his life even more miserable. His health has declined, as have his grades. He’s now failing nearly all of his classes. He can’t concentrate on his schoolwork because he lives in fear of his step-father at home, and of the bullies at school.
The only bright spot in his life is Carly, the girl on which he’s had a crush for years. As his relationship with Carly soars to new heights, so do the problems at home and the confrontations at school. Brian begins to crumble under the pressure.
He’s finally pushed past the breaking point, where he does the unthinkable. Realizing what he’s done, he knows he must turn himself in. But as usual, no one wants to listen. In a race against time, he fights to be heard, with the sound of a ticking clock as the soundtrack in his mind. And once again, he must face the bullies. This time, with nothing to lose.
In a final showdown, even after all hope is lost, Brian desperately struggles to control the anger that is building inside him. Anger that has turned to RAGE.

5 NO MORE TURNING A BLIND EYE STARS!
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BOOK OF THE YEAR!
This book may be fiction but it is authentic, it is honest and it is confronting. It may not have happened to the author, may not have happened to me or a dear person, but IT IS HAPPENING THIS VERY SECOND TO A CHILD SOMEWHERE, COULD BE EVEN AS CLOSE AS NEXT DOOR!
A thirteen year old should not hurt so much, no child should be subjected to so much hurt, not one person is deserving of what this poor child went through!
I finished this book, was absolutely gutted and then I read this
I BECAME ABSOLUTELY ENRAGED! The ignorance and the cruelty in this world knows no bounds…. IF A CHILD DOES NOT FIND A SAFE HAVEN AT HOME, AT SCHOOL AND IS CONDEMNED BY THE LAW, WHAT CAN WE DO? WE CAN STOP TURNING A BLIND EYE!
WELL DONE MS BETTES, you have a fan for life!
