The beginning- A point in time or space where something starts.

32 year old Sebastian Vanwell, was a very successful yacht broker, who always loved the design and architecture of a luxurious yacht. His only addiction was being on the water. He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life. After a very stable, loving child hood with a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life. The one person that he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession, that was until he saw her. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn’t control no matter how hard he tried.

Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark complexion Ysabelle Telle didn’t have the rich, protected background that Sebastian Vanwell had. Ysabelle lived a life of hell, in poverty, growing up with a drug addict mother that never cared, and horrific living conditions. Ysabelle lived for one person and one person only; herself. She was pure perfection, her beauty along with a flawless body had men lined up, driveling over her insuring her success as a VIP.

There are too many words that describe the effects when two diverse worlds like theirs collide. They both have too much to lose to get caught in the forceful pull, which could destroy them both.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and drug use. Intended for mature audiences.

Silvana's Review

Reading this book, I felt so involved in what is happening as it made me feel different emotions, anger, sympathy, resentment and hurt as well as happiness! You can tell that M. Robinson did indeed have an understanding of the human psyche and the motivation that drives us to act the way we do.

The moment Ysabelle was introduced, I fell in love with her through the author’s words and was rooting for her and her alone even; I did not like all of her actions but I understood them, sympathized with her, hurt alongside of her and was hoping for her to find peace and get the HEA she deserved.

Sebastian was something else, I went through different emotions with him, loved him when he was first introduced, hated him later on, felt disdain for him then hated him again. At the end of the novel, I grew to like him again and he redeemed himself a bit.

Julia, Sebastian’s wife was someone I disliked immensely! She was not a bad person by any means but I could not bring myself to like her. Felt her presence stood in the way of so many people’s happiness, I know this is irrational of me, but man I felt like slapping her a few times. I resented Sebastian’s needing to protect her feelings, because it felt like she was stronger than all of them combined and the person whose feelings needed to be protected was disregarded ….

Reading the blurb, you know there will be cheating but to me it felt like Sebastian did cheat, but on Ysabelle every time he went back to his wife instead of the other way around. I hated seeing her confused by what’s happening between them.

Now the ending I was happy with, I cheered for Ysabelle when she confronted her mother and found closure! Also when she stepped away from a life that was giving false comfort and took steps towards achieving her dreams.

In a very fucked up way, Sebastian saved me from myself. He showed me what it was to love and I hadn’t ever thought that was possible for me.

The writing is beautiful and well done, the sex scenes between Sebastian and Ysa were HOT.
