Raised in near seclusion by an agoraphobic mother, Davy Cooper’s social skills are almost nonexistent. Now that his mother has died, he needs to make friends for the first time in his life. He catches Gavin Walker’s eye, but the sexy, confident, bad boy hipster intimidates shy Davy so much that he throws away Gavin’s number every time he offers it.
When Gavin defends Davy from a rude guy, Davy begins to warm to him. However, with his limited experience, he thinks he and Gavin are too different, and anything more than a casual acquaintance will end in complete disaster.
4 Troubled Stars
Ummmmm. That cover is tres hot. tres hot.
If you’ve read the book, you know that the cover has SO MUCH MEANING.
I think this is the 1st book I’ve read where the cover truly, 100% matches something of the book.
My 1st Kade read. I loved it.
The connection between Davy and Gavin, maybe, it took a bit for me. But it was there.
Was it insta-love? Kind of.
So why did this one work for me when usually I freaking hate insta-love. Cause in this case it was believable.
Davy: To cute, to sweet, and then when he let his monster out I loved him even more.
Gavin: Hello Gavin. I love me a bad boy. Especially a bad boy slut who falls. The fall is always such a pleasure to watch.
Was he a douche? yes. For some moments.
But hidden. He was just a sweet tortured soul who had a crappy fucking mom. The mom needs a good swift kick in the head.
Gramps: Can’t talk about him. I can’t. It hurts too much
Supporting cast: Awesome. Especially Sean and Mason. Can we get a book on Sean and Mason?????? CAN WE????????
I totally loved the ending. There were bits in between that made me roll my eyes, but on the whole I enjoyed it. Any book that can make me laugh 1 second, piss me off the next and then make me smile. Worth it.
And lets talk about the ending.
Thank you JESUS.
I thought I was going to have to go through the whole book without being able to visualize that.
So Kade, Thanks for making the ending of the book the way that you did.
