Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.
Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.
The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.
Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

5 Amazing Stars!
Before I start my review, I would suggest you read “Elixir” (Covenant #3.5) before reading Apollyon… Elixir is under Aiden’s POV and is during Alex’s Awakening, becoming an Apollyon… when her worst fear; losing herself and be placed under Elixir, happened… And Aiden must save her before it’s too late. If you already love Aiden, you will love him more on Elixir where he pours his heart out… emotions so strong and true. It is beautiful.
Now on to this part of the series. It picks up where it left off on Elixir but this time, back to Alex’s POV. It started off with Alex emotional and mental battle… a war between love and fate… while Aiden does everything to bring her back. It was quite emotional… I thought Alex had finally lost it!
But even when she’s back to her own self, she needs to break her connection with Seth and find a way to stop Seth from taking her power and become the all-powerful God Killer… And if she does stop the transfer, that would make her then the god killer and what would the god’s do to her then? And who is the god behind Lucian and Seth?
From one complication to another… ugh, poor Alex. Poor Aiden. I’m glad she has Aiden.
“We’re in this together, Alex. Don’t ever forget that. We’re in this together to the end.” – Aiden
There is definitely a lot of growth on characters, Alex specially. And just in time, cause now that she is an Apollyon, she is quite powerful. But she is not only brave and strong, she is also smart and sad as it is, she had it all figured out….
The storyline goes deeper and crazier… It feels like the battle is only getting worst and the enemy’s stronger! That scene towards the end, I felt like dying! Poor Alex never gets a break!!!
Emotional and edgy with amazing action scenes that I can’t get enough of. Very exciting and romantic, it really does just gets better and better.
