Nancy's Review

 5 Worthy Stars!!!

I am in love with this N.A. mafia series, and I’ve only waited like forever for this 3rd book to come out! BUT, it is definitely worth the wait!!! I miss Trace and Nixon, Chase, Mo and Tex!

I was sad for Chase on the last book, I wanted him to be happy too. And this one picked up where it left off… when Chase agreed to marry Mil De Lange, heir to the De Lange family,  just the worst of the mafia families in the US.   BUT, Chase and Mil have a history together, which makes it more interesting. So while I wasn’t so encouraged on Chase quickly moving on and finding someone else after Trace,  Mil makes that exception, cause Mil has been in-love with Chase for as long as she can remember.

This tells us Mil’s story… and it is heartbreaking.

Chase and Mil makes another strong and perfect couple.

But this isn’t just about Chase and Mil, cause the story still revolves around the danger on their mafia family… which means Nixon, Trace, Mo and Tex are back!!!!

I love how the author wrote each characters differently. Trace is still that sweet, innocent and funny country girl that always makes me smile. Nixon is the alpha boss who takes protecting the family to heart. Chase the lover. Tex is the funny one and he surprised me the most in this book, I can’t wait to read more about him. Mo, the tough and fun sister of Nixon who is dealing with her heartbreak with Tex. Then the newest member, Mil, though still hunted by her past, she is strong and proves herself worthy as the boss of the De Lange family….. Needless to say, I love their group dynamic.

Reading more about Trace and Nixon’s relationship makes me sigh… I can’t say enough how much I love them!!!! I’m so glad this series doesn’t just concentrate on one couple but keeps us updated with the couples we’ve already fallen in love with.

Next book will be about Tex! And Mo of course! I CANNOT wait!

There is action, suspense, lots of humour and of course, the romance! Beautifully written and in multi POV’s.

SPOILER/TEASER below… don’t scroll down if you don’t want any…

Just one of the many scenes I loved :

“She’s not pregnant, you idiot.” Mo hissed from behind me. “What I think she’s trying to say, you know, without actually saying it—”

“Thanks, Mo,” Trace grumbled.

“—is that she wants to get married.” Mo grinned triumphantly. “So… grow a pair and put a ring on it.”

Tex snickered behind me.

I lifted the back of my jacket to reveal both of my pistols.

The snickering stopped.

“Still the boss,” I said.

“Still an ass,” Mo sang.

“Or the devil,” Tex added. “However you want to put it.”

Trace gave me a sassy smile. “I was trying to be suggestive.”

“Suggestive, huh?” I licked my lips and looked at her chest. “You sure that’s what you meant?”

“I had a plan.” She grinned. “Suggestive first, seduction next—”

“Unplanned pregnancy to trap mob boss, third.” Tex coughed.

“I’m sorry.” Mo released his arm. “I can’t walk down the aisle with this ass hat. Change partners? Anyone? Anyone?” she called.
