A Thrilled Ride

I think this is the best book in the series. The horror, the gore, the twists, and the actions were the most intense. Starting from the previous book, I could sense that it’s shifting more towards the horror genre, a lot more Stephen King like and I loved it! Don’t get me wrong, there was still the sexual tension between Perry and Dex but it’s nothing new. The horror on the other end was so much better.

I tore my eyes away from my reflection to answer her but as I did so, the reflection in the mirror changed. Even though it was out of the corner of my eye, I could see the face in the mirror open its eyes and mouth wide in a distorted scream.

It reminded me of my favorite show, Supernatural. Because of the involvement of the paranormal, you couldn’t quite guess how it’s all going to end. And, what an ending it had! So much was gained, yet so much was lost. It was an amazing journey reading this.

Plot twists aside there were some awesome character development. From Dex, Maximus, to Perry’s mom, each evolved to a better version of themselves towards the end.

Dex, I love your sarcastic humor and thinking. You have such a mouth on you. I shall miss you.

I woke up feeling like a nun’s ass – all dried out and tight as a rubber band, my head absolutely pounding from a headache that wouldn’t go away. I must have pressed snoozed a million times before I got out of bed, and by snooze, I mean I swatted at Perry every time she tried to shake me awake. I could have slept forever.
