If it’s not broke don’t fix it. That was Cash’s motto in life, and his life was perfect. He was living the life of the lieutenant of The Last Riders, and had women at his beck and call. The only thing he saw himself settling down with in the future was a twelve pack; certainly not Rachel Porter, who was on his short no fuck list. Hell, she wasn’t even his type—her tits were too small, and her mean mouth could shrivel a man’s dick. How was he supposed to know she was special and worth putting up with those weed-producing hillbillies? Or was she?
Rachel had lived her whole life watching Cash break one woman’s heart after another. He was everything she shouldn’t want; a bad boy biker with enough sex appeal to make any woman want a night in his bed. Even her. Heck, he wasn’t even her type—he didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut, and he lived in a sex club. How was she supposed to know that he was special and worth putting up with the biker wars and biker bitches? Or was he?
My Rating : 🌟🌟🌟
I am a fan of this series… despite my shock and dislike on their sexcapage club policy or lifestyle, lol… 😉
Anyway, Rachel and Cash! I didn’t see this coming! That was a surprise. I didn’t know Rachel has been pining for Cash since they were kids… I didn’t know they had or their family has history together… which is a good foundation for their connection.
I have been reading this book on and off for over a week, which isn’t normal cause the norms for me with this series is one setting…. But… I had to take breaks in between… because for some reason I just couldn’t get into what Rachel does or can do or her gift… to put it nicely, I felt like the story went a little bit in the paranormal side. Well, that’s how I see it when she has this gift to call ones souls back to their body.
Anyway, once I surpassed that, I was able to concentrate more on both lead characters. And I really liked Rachel. She is kick ass, full of heart, stubborn and, what I loved most about her is that she stands on what she believes…. That is until everything went downhill and she gave in to the club’s lifestyles, by that I mean their wild sex craze. That was just disappointing. I have to agree with the others who thought it felt unnecessary. Cause it really does. I was rooting for her when she took a stand against it… Then she just suddenly changed! Walah! lol…
Then there’s Cash, I want to like Cash.. and there are some moments that I did… But there are a lot of times that I did not either.
To name a few : He takes Rachel’s virginity, then up and left her… and the next day had sex with Rachel’s friend! Then, he embarrassed Rachel by practically screaming to everyone at the party how Rachel loved fucking him. And his way of apologizing was taking her to a motor show, where he was picking up his new bike, and buy her hotdogs and on the way home told Rachel to get down her high horse?
I mean “wow”! I love me some assholes but he just crosses all my X-marks.
Saying all this, I have to give props to the fact that Cash character did not change… he is who he is, like it or not. And I really enjoyed the part where he wooed Rachel’s troublesome brothers to get their permission for him to date their sister. That was funny.
I love reading the updates on the other couples… that never fails to make me smile.
As for the club politic’s part of the story, I enjoyed the bit of action and suspense on the peak of the story though brief.
All in all, this is well written…. and though not a favourite amongst the series… I did still liked it.
