At long last… The final book in the New York Times bestselling Hollows series by Kim Harrison!
Rachel Morgan’s come a long way from the clutzy runner of Dead Witch Walking. She’s faced vampires and werewolves, banshees, witches, and soul-eating demons. She’s crossed worlds, channeled gods, and accepted her place as a day-walking demon. She’s lost friends and lovers and family, and an old enemy has become something much more.
But power demands responsibility, and world-changers must always pay a price. That time is now.
To save Ivy’s soul and the rest of the living vampires, to keep the demonic ever after and our own world from destruction, Rachel Morgan will risk everything.
I absolutely LOVE this series…. ❤️ Love it so much that I bought myself the limited signed copy from B&N and tried to savour every page to make it last just a little bit longer… Even waited to read this during my vacation, to set that perfect mood and ambiance, lol…
It’s a paranormal suspense that is full of action! But what I loved most about this series and what I think makes it different.. it’s that “friendship” between Jenks, Ivy and Rachel… These three have gone a looong way! Then there is Bis, the sweet and loveable gargoyle, then Al, the demon I hated in the beginning but grown to love as well… And of course, hot and sexy Trent.
I hate goodbyes, just maybe one of the reasons I wished there was a little bit more to this finale.
I’ve seen Rachel grow to become this confident, beautiful and powerful woman! Hers has been a really rough journey. And I could not be happier for her to finally get her HEA!
Trent…. I used to hate him but at the same time thought him hot! He was such a pain in the ass… It is amazing how things changed. Did I miss his “assholish” commanding attitude? Hell yeah, in some ways I did, but at the same time, he still carries this powerful aura that is just so Trent! I liked that that never went away.
Together, Rachel and Trent is HOT!!!! And I’m not saying sex here, but that too, for what there was of it.. 😉 I mean these two are just bursting with so much love for each other, which has been looong overdue! It was definitely worth the wait.
Jenks, for me, is the heart of this series. I just adore him! I am a bit disappointed that there wasn’t much of him in this finale. I mean, he is there with Rachel always, but I just wished for more on the ever so funny pixy.
And what perfect way to end the series by solving that biggest issue from the start; the war between the demons and the elves, and giving closure to the issue of the vampires obsession on getting their soul back!
Loved the romance, the humour, the suspense, the action, and how the story came together. Though I wasn’t so much as blown away with the climatic scene… Let’s just say, I’ve had better with the previous sequels… But, it was good nevertheless…
Loved the ending. It was perfect at the same time I wish there was more to it… or in other words, I wish for a more deserving epic ending.
Love the writing… looking forward to more of Kim Harrison’s future books. 🙂
