Silvana's Review

This is one of these books that is  entertaining, captivating and  well written with characters so likable that I find myself fan-girling. I now get why people fall over themselves to get the latest release from Ilona Andrews,  why everyone raves about and recommends the Kate Daniels series.

There are many reasons why I love certain books, well-developed characters , a  plot that seems to flow smoothly  or the extraordinary writing, this book has it all. I love the premise of this series,  the conspiracies, the relationships between the characters, even the villains and the promise of things to come in the following installments.

Burn For Me has some of the most likable three-dimensional characters, especially our heroine Nevada. Neva is someone you would love to know in real life, she is strong yet vulnerable at the same time, she knows when she needs help and accepts it. I love her relationship with her family, especially her mother and grandma who made me laugh . I teared up a bit when she was talking about her dad, because that’s exactly how I feel about my dad

My mother loves me. She’d do anything for me. But my dad was the one who got me. He understood why I did things.

Now to another favorite character of mine, Connor ‘Mad’ Rogan, the violent prime with extreme powers; What’s not to love about him. Loved the build up of sexual tension and the banter between him and Nevada, their chemistry is hot, I just hope the next book will have a bit more loving.

“One school of thought says that the best way to handle an issue like this is exposure therapy,” Mad Rogan said. “For example, if you’re terrified of snakes, repeated handling of them will cure it.”Aha. “I’m not handling your snake.”

“He glanced at me, his eyes dark. “Would you rather talk about your dream?”
“Considering that I was featured in it, I think I deserve to know the particulars. Were my clothes missing because we were in bed? Was I touching you?” He glanced at me. His voice could’ve melted the clothes off my body. “Were you touching me?”

So to end this ‘review’, all I can add is I LOOOOVE THIS BOOK, IT IS SOOO GOOD AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND for lovers of the genre. READ IT PEOPLE, I don’t recommend books often because what works for me won’t necessarily work for others, but I’m taking a chance with this one.

Now to read the authors’ other series to tide me over till the next book comes, which hopefully won’t be too long.
