‘Til Death (‘Til Death #1) by Bella Jewel

They say there’s a fine line between love and hate.

There is.

I married a douchebag.

I didn’t know it at the time.

He came in like a handsome stranger and blew me off my feet.

I fell madly in love, like the naive girl I am.

Then he left me high and dry.

Turns out, I was nothing more than a business plan for billionaire playboy, Marcus Tandem.

He needed to be married in order to obtain his grandfathers business, and I was the poor victim in his path.

I believed in what we had, until the truth reared its ugly head.

I never meant anything to Marcus. Not a damned thing.

With my world spinning on its axis, the girl I once was has long since died.

Instead he left me as this empty, emotionless shell.

I may have made a vow before God to love and cherish him ‘Til Death do we part, but it’s time for me to give back to Marcus, exactly what he gave me.

He has to pay.

And pay he will.

This is part of a two book series and it will contain a HEA – Readers over 18+

If you have read Anguish the third book Joker’s Wrath MC series, then you might remember Marcus, friend of Mack who saved Jaylah in the end. But no worries if you didn’t… It just the author’s way in connecting her book series. 😉 I kinda like that. 🙂 And like her other novels, this book is sexy and hot.  😉

When Marcus’s grandpa died, he left a Will that states; on the event of his passing, Marcus inherits the business providing he marries within the year and should not be a bought wife meaning no contract or the woman must be there willingly and no divorce for two years. This does not bode well with Marcus but he is not about to give the business away when he is the only one who worked hard on it.

Here enters Katia. Who was very much attracted to Marcus… and fell in love with him when he swept her off her feet! Well, who wouldn’t! So what started as lust at first sight turns to a whirlwind romance, for Katia that is.

He consumed me. He took my heart in his hands and he’s holding it there.

When I read the plot from the beginning, I was already expecting where the story was heading. There are no secret that time does not reveal, right? But still, I wanted to see what their story will be, where it will take me. And so far, it didn’t take me as far as I wanted it to.. but I did enjoy the execution of their story.

Katia is a likeable person, if you don’t mind the giggling and jumping up and down, and a lot of gasping. Personally, I hated that. And she jumps on her husband (Marcus) every time she sees him cause she couldn’t help it, he is just that hot! Well, that I don’t mind, lol. All in all, I think she is an uncomplicated person who just seeks affection from her husband and blinded by her love for him.

But Marcus is one minute hot and next cold. I don’t know what his problem is but there is certainly more to his story.. and I hope it is worth it. Anyway, Marcus is a broody person who needs to be in control on everything. He acts like an ass… And as much as I tried to like him, there wasn’t much to go on with. Come on! He is rich, he knows he is hot and yet so miserable! Boohoo! Poor guy! Not! I can’t wait to hear what his problem is! That is not happening in this book thought, as this is just the first part of a two book series… And as this ends on a cliffy.

The story also switches from past to present… and under dual POV.

There is more to the story than just the romance between Marcus and Katia… There is the sudden appearance of Katia’s father, who is connected to Marcus, and then there is her brothers that she never knew.

I can’t wait to read the rest of the story. 😉
